Most consultancies make you sit through a call to hear a number. Here are ours.
Looking for a website? Those are
priced by what the site needs to do, from $299, with no required
monthly fees afterwards. Tell us what you need and what you have to spend.
Ongoing support is available if you want it.
Fixed-scope work is priced up front and agreed in writing before anything starts. Bigger
or ongoing work is quoted after a short conversation, because pricing it honestly means
knowing what we're walking into. Either way, you'll know the number before you commit.
Best for leaders who sense gaps across engineering but can't name or rank them
A structured read on where your team and systems actually stand, across the domains that matter to your business, with a roadmap ordered by impact rather than by ideal.
Assessment across the engineering domains that apply to you, and none that don't
Interviews with your team, and a gap analysis against practical standards
A prioritized roadmap: the few changes that move the needle, by impact versus effort
A live walkthrough with your leadership team
Two follow-up check-ins over the quarter, so the roadmap stays real
$350session within days, written summary in about 3 business days
Best for teams who want a senior read before committing to anything larger
One to two hours on your actual problem, with a written summary and recommendations you keep. Credited toward a larger engagement if you decide to go further.
A working session on the problem in front of you, not a sales call
A written summary with recommendations and next steps
Straight answers about what we would and wouldn't take on
The fee credited toward a larger engagement that follows
Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed in writing before any work starts.
No hourly surprises and no change-order games. If we find something outside what we
agreed, it goes in the findings and we quote it separately — it never quietly
becomes a longer engagement.
An audit ends in findings, not a dead end. Whichever comes next, your
team implements from the plan, or we quote the work and do it.
Timelines run from access, not from signature. The clock starts when
we can actually see the systems. Getting us a read-only login is usually the slowest
part, and it's the part we can't do for you — we'll tell you exactly what we need
up front.
An audit hands you findings. A workshop leaves your team able to find them
next time. Different products, not different sizes of the same one.
The Cloud Cost Review is priced against what it typically finds,
not the hours it takes.
Nonprofits, small organizations, and early-stage teams: we keep a
reduced rate for you. Just ask.
Beyond the packages
Four ways to work together
A conversation
One to two hours on your actual problem, with a written summary you keep. The fee
comes off a larger engagement if you decide to do one.
A fixed-scope package
The engagements above. Known scope, known deliverables, known price. No hourly
meter running, and nothing to sit through before the work starts.
A project
Larger or custom work, scoped together and quoted as a fixed price or a
not-to-exceed cap. Milestones and acceptance criteria are written down before
anyone starts.
A retainer
Two shapes, and they're not the same. Watching is monitoring,
updates, and someone who answers — no development hours in it.
Capacity is hours set aside each month, from light upkeep through
embedded fractional leadership, priced below our normal rate because planned work
is cheaper to do. Response times and scope are in writing either way.
Nonprofits & small organizations
We keep a reduced rate, and we'd rather you ask.
Nonprofits, small organizations, and early-stage teams get a reduced rate on everything
on this page. If the number still doesn't work, say so. We would rather hear what your
budget actually is than have you quietly decide not to call.
Two things worth knowing if you're a nonprofit:
Accessibility is often fundable. If your funding carries Section 508
or WCAG obligations, the work to meet them can usually be written into the grant as a
budgeted line rather than paid out of your operating budget. We can help you scope it.
Hosting should not be a monthly bill. Plenty of small organizations
pay $20, $40, even $60 a month for hosting that genuinely costs about $15 a year. This
site runs on that stack. We'll put you on it and show you the receipts.
There's more on the grant pathway, hosting at cost, and fundraising email on the
nonprofits page.
Terms, briefly
What's true of every engagement
You know the price before you commit. Fixed-scope work is quoted as a
number, not a range that grows.
Scope changes are a conversation, not an invoice. If the work turns
out bigger than we scoped, we tell you before we exceed it, not after.
You own the work. Code, configuration, documentation, and accounts
are yours. We don't hold anything hostage.
No long contracts to get started. Terms, payment schedule, and
confidentiality are set out in writing before work begins.
We'll tell you when it isn't us. If your problem needs something
outside what we do, or more hands than one senior engineer, we say so and point you
somewhere better.
Prices effective July 30, 2026 and subject to change.
Nothing on this page is a contract or an offer; the agreement for your engagement governs.

Ready when you are
Not sure which one fits?
Tell us what's going on and we'll say which of these makes sense, or that none of them do. That answer is free.
