Privacy Policy

How Hitchpost handles the limited information you share with us.

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Hitchpost LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit hitchpost.net or contact us, and how we use and protect it. We collect as little as possible and we do not sell your personal information.

The short version

  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we never have.
  • No advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies. Not one.
  • Our analytics are cookieless and build no profile of you.
  • That’s why you aren’t reading this through a cookie banner. There’s nothing here to consent to.
  • The only personal information we hold is what you typed into the contact form. Ask us and it’s gone.

The rest of this page is the detail behind those five lines.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional subject, and message you provide. If you book a call through our scheduling link, your details are collected by our scheduling provider (see Third parties below), not by us directly.

Information collected automatically. When you submit the contact form, and as a normal part of operating the site, we and our infrastructure providers process limited technical data, including your IP address, approximate location (country/region/city derived from your IP), network/ISP (ASN), browser type (user agent), and the date and time of your request. We use this strictly to deliver your message, prevent spam and abuse, and keep the site secure.

Usage analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless: it measures aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, country) without building a profile of you, tracking you across sites, or using advertising identifiers.

Spam protection. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm submissions come from a human. Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser to make that determination; it is designed to be privacy-preserving and does not track you across sites.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • respond to your inquiry and communicate with you;
  • deliver, route, and triage contact-form messages;
  • detect, prevent, and investigate spam, fraud, and abuse, and maintain security;
  • understand aggregate, non-identifying usage of the site.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information on the basis of our legitimate interests (responding to inquiries you initiate, securing the site, and preventing abuse) and, where you submit the contact form, your consent. You may withdraw consent or object to processing at any time (see Your rights).

Third parties (processors)

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We rely on a small set of service providers that process data on our behalf under their respective terms and data-processing agreements:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting/CDN, security, Turnstile, cookieless analytics, and email routing.
  • Resend: delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Google (Workspace / Gmail): hosts the business inbox where contact-form messages are received and stored after delivery.
  • Cal.com: if you book a call via our scheduling link, your booking details are handled by Cal.com under their privacy policy.

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

What we don’t do

Stated plainly, rather than left to inference:

  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • We don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There are no ad networks, pixels, or remarketing tags on this site.
  • We don’t collect sensitive personal information — government IDs, precise geolocation, health, biometrics, race, religion, sexual orientation, union membership — and we’d ask you not to send any through the contact form.
  • We don’t use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
  • We don’t run a mailing list off contact-form submissions. If we ever start one, it will be opt-in, and writing to us about a project will not enroll you in it.

Cookies

We keep cookies to an absolute minimum. We use no advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and our usage analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) are cookieless.

The only cookies you may receive are strictly necessary cookies set by Cloudflare to operate the site securely. Here is the complete list:

Cookie Type What it does Set when
__cf_bm Strictly necessary Cloudflare’s bot check. Distinguishes humans from automated abuse. On requests to the site; expires in about 30 minutes.
cf_clearance Strictly necessary Stores the outcome of a Cloudflare security challenge so you aren’t challenged again. Only if a challenge is actually shown to you; short-lived.
— none — Analytics Nothing to list. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Never.
— none — Marketing Nothing to list. We run no ads and no tracking pixels. Never.

Neither cookie identifies you personally or follows you to other websites. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, so there is no cookie banner on this site. That isn’t a shortcut we took. It’s the result of choosing infrastructure that doesn’t need one: cookieless analytics, self-hosted fonts, no ad tech of any kind, and a spam check that doesn’t load until you actually start using the contact form. If we ever add something that requires consent, you’ll get a real choice, not a pre-ticked box.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some security features may be affected if you do.

Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, telling a site you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We honor it — though in practice it has nothing to switch off here, since we don’t sell or share your information with or without the signal.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to respond to and document your inquiry, after which they are deleted. Aggregate analytics contain no personal profiles.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what we collect and to confirm we do not sell personal information.

How to exercise them. Email us at and say what you want. We may need a little information to confirm you are who you say you are, and we’ll ask for no more than that. An authorized agent can submit a request for you with your written permission.

How fast. Within 45 days under the CCPA and one month under the GDPR/UK GDPR. If a request is complex enough to need longer, we’ll tell you before that window closes rather than after.

No retaliation. We won’t deny you service, charge you differently, or give you a worse experience for exercising any of these rights.

If we say no. We’ll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to that message. You can also complain to your state attorney general or, in the EEA/UK, your data protection authority.

A note on scope: several of these laws only bind companies considerably larger than us, and Hitchpost LLC sits well under their revenue and volume thresholds. We extend the rights anyway. It’s a short list to honor when you collect almost nothing to begin with.

Security

We protect the site with HTTPS, a strict Content Security Policy, and other reasonable technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

This site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
